Anyone ever been satisfied with Cantilever brakes ?

89 was a long time ago learned a lot since then, further conclusion to any rim brake for me
is that throwing away mavic D521 rims because the the rims got worn, rebuilding the hub with
new rim etc, nah disc brakes all day since 2005, though occasionally open a box of DX cantis, Vs
when rummaging for bits, a quick flashback, shudder and move on : )

I kind of have an affliction for those concave Campy rims and find it easier to snug canti pads in there exactly how I want them. And have convinced myself they work better as a result. My wife, who rides around with hydraulic disc brakes, believes I have lost my mind. The only counterargument I've been able to come up with is, "but they're pretty!"

I love canti’s, particularly the look of ‘em. Of course I’m old now and avoid mud and rain. Canti’s were all I knew when I rode aggressively. A good tuning with the hanger as low as possible, fresh pads and a brake booster stops my old fat butt in time.

It’s probably ignorance as I have only ridden discs twice in my life.
