That’s how I owned 2.5 AMP/Mercedes bikes to get one bike spec-ed the way I wanted! I’m not doing it again! :D
I feel your pain! I'm going to have to find another frame to cannibalise for parts as I need a replacement seat mast...

It's back in 2012 now, but I had no problems dealing with Risse.
My contact was Kevin Risse kevin@risseracing.com

They returned a Lawwill Leader shock, all OK, one week turnaround.

All the best,
Kevin replied back , and I’m now sending back for repairs. Good news

Took a while for me to send it back to them , but shock is back in my hands and works fine, so might be looking nice them for my Marin build

What do you do to stop the cable rubbing against the wheel as below? Cable tie of is there a fitting which secure in the small hole on the chain stay?

You'll be needing something like this:

One in the post tonight.

All the best,
Did you make these or buy them, if bought then do you have a link?

That particular one is the original AMP one, bit I didale a copy for Gerard last year.

Alternatively, there are these ready made bolt on hose guides which would do the job nicely.
It would need a bit on the end of the screw, and maybe a longer screw.
Also saves having to cut the hose if you're going full hydraulic.

I have these in-stock for a few quid if you want one.

All the best,

Re:

Bumping to ask b4 Mercedes rear shock question. I have a leaking factory spring/dampener... is there any other option besides Risse? Any custom combo have a possibility of being used? Or just two options. This is my only rear suspension bike, so I’m clueless on options. No problems with Risse, just not wanting to spend the money

There were a couple of AMP shock rebuild kits made by other suppliers at the time, and since.
These addressed the seal and damping problems with the factory supplied shock.

I'll dig up details for you...certainly cheaper than a new Risse shock.

All the best,

I just purchased this bike and I was wondering what model and year it is. Any clues? Cheers
