Buy mine from st johns st cycles usually.

I too had issues with shimano 300......infact there was an entire thread a few months back about failures of these.

I've run the Genetic Karyotype BB on my singlespeed through a couple of winters now. The Token one has a bad water trap between the cup and bearing seal, died after one winter.

If you want long term reliability with a 10 year warranty SKF makes a great square taper, but it isn't cheap.
