Christmas update…

Finally some mint Mavic 121 ceramics in 32 hole, arrived from Poland courtesy of @dresdladiory and just in time for a xmas day unboxing.

I’ve had the 36 hole versions for nearly 2 years now, but could never find the correct 1995 hubs to match in the matching 36h, the M900 were the back up plan. I gave in 6 months ago and bought the correct 32 hole hubs to widen my chances Of completing the set, if either or ever came up, which has paid off in the end. PS - JMCs we’re 32 hole according the magnifying glass !

Now just got to find the correct size wheelsmith spokes & nipples



The comparison to the old 36h set with M900 v the new 32h set with the DT-Hugi. Still not sure what to do with the old 36h set now, build on the quieter M900 hubs and keep as spares or let them go.

Also got round to swapping on the red tri-align caliper parts. Was tempted to anodise them previously as most have, but a red set came up for sale in Canada at what seemed the same price as anodising might have been, so seemed nice to go with original unrestored parts in keeping with the rest of the build.

I figure if I can source the spokes and get them built before end of Feb then I’ll of finished before the end of year 5 !!!
