96 Kona Lava Dome - current pic on page 3!

following a few comments on here, and a few ideas of my own - i've made a few alterations

red/pink ules have gone in favour of blue club roost (ules were dead anyway
top tube has been tidied up somewhat
thumbies!!!!
and blue QR's (not sure about these)

also had a casualty during the rebuild effort, hence why the cables arent clipped neatly

i'm about to start piecing together a new chainset for this bike. i have some Curve cranks, as fitted to period explosifs Here on their way to me, but i'm unsure what colours of rings to put on. the black/silver look of the 1998 LX's i kinda like, but i'm tempted by something a bit fancier.

also does anyone know what BB axle the curves need?

I am now feeling like i need a 90's kona.

Someone sell me an explosif...

I'd paint it white. And put just black components on it. Bar one piece of bright and out of place colour. Maybe a set of Powder coated blue Turbine cranks or a green ringle bottle cage.

If someone sells me an explosive (Joe...) then i might do just that (above).

:D

My wife's Lava Dome was pastel blue (by Argos), looked awesome with cream edged burgandy graphics! Scarlett owns her now but it really suits the slim tube Kona's!

the frame is staying orange. it's way too pretty to change. it's the crankset build that i want colours for!

Do that with a Lava Dome but make the out-of-place colour bright red brake blocks :D
