95 Kilauea - Rebuild and refresh - Finished! 18/10/09

The powdercoating was done by Trestan Finishers in Southampton. It's actually plain white but with a pearl lacquer.

Good spot on the USE seatpost, I'd not actually put it near the bike, but as soon as I did it became obvious it was the wrong way round. For some reason I always remember the sticker facing backwards...

I had a bit of time this weekend so the headset and BB went in, fitted the forks, stem, bars, front brake, shifters and wheels. I also hung the cranks on to see what they'd look like.

The plan is to eventually find a more retro stem and tyres but for the moment I want to get it riding before the nights really draw in.

Went out for my first ride on it yesterday for a bit of a shakedown on my local 10 mile route and it felt really really good, light and responsive. Just as I'd remembered my old bike being.
