27 inch wheels, any decent replacements out there?

Re:

The Velo orange rims seem to look well made . Single eyelet construction which is better than most other makes which have none .
Given the limited market for this size the price seems fair . Does other one know if they are a hook type rim . I cannot tell from the picture if they are,or see any info on their web site .
Given that most new tyres {27x11/4 etc} seem to be folders i would hope so .

I bought a pair of NOS Wolber gentleman rims 27" a few years back {from longstaffs}, double wall and double eyelet construction 40 r 32 f . I have never found /seen any more . The rear rim as a litte wider profile and been 40 hole i think it was for a tandem .

I've got Velo Orange PBP rims on my fixed gear and been using them for commuting in all weathers for over 5 years now. I think they're excellent quality. They are not anodised, so they polish back up well after the winter salt has attacked them.
