I've sometimes wondered if anyone has ever bought a new kids bike and had it repainted in a famous Klein paint scheme

A 16inch wheeled dolomite would be cool!

I even wondered if a Klein fanboy has ever pimped a buggy in the same vain
I bet Jon Rock has.

Re:

I finished it last night. I tried to involve my son in the build, getting his opinion and showing him how to do certain things. It is tough to hold an 8 year old's attention though.
I ended up using some pretty nice parts on this bike. I had a pile of used parts, but as I got deeper into the build, I couldn't hang anything that didn't look good. One exception, the seat. He really liked the Cannondale seat, which I don't. It is more comfortable than an old WTB I have. I also ended up using NOS 732 black brakes, which now I am on the hunt for another pair. Here is one picture...

Re:

That bike is ace. Well done.

I know now how i can justify another project, though my daughter is only 16 months old.

Thanks, he chose the black. I had leftover silver stuff for his bike.

Fantastic stuff, well done.
What a lucky 8 year old.
He wants to ride all of the time, so mission accomplished. I can't wait to take him on a trail ride soon.
