Some more recent images, lots of rubbing down...

Work continues on smoothing and rubbing down the Catalina frame. Ive decided to keep the blue headset colour - this will be hand painted in enamel, I will use the same colour for the contrasting panels. decals will be gold and the infill areas on the Capella lugs will be gold. Frame colour will be a darker shade, nearer the purple of my Flyer, mudguards will be light purple.

Yes a mixture of new, NOS and stuff from my parts bin.

Huret Svelto mech, 5-speed., 28 block on rear, Huret friction lever.
Wrights or Brooks saddle, probably second hand with some wear/patina.
27" wheels - new, solid axles.
GB Sychrons from my parts bin, along with other bearing cups etc.
Alloy GB bars and stem from my parts bin.
White ribbed cables and tape.
White Carlton hooded brake levers -Weinmann.

Amber walled tyres, possibly World Tours...

Any other accessories I have, lights, rack etc...

Frame colour dark purple with lighter purple pink Bluemels All Rounder mudguards.

It's a start! Are you going to hand paint the frame or spray it? I was thinking of doing mine in hand painted enamel.

Spray the frame, but hand paint/enamel new blue paint around the headset lugs.

Frame is away being resprayed and refinished, in the meantime I have been restoring, buying or replacing parts from my own store...
