Is my Merida Dura Carbon 970 worth saving? Help

Hey Everybody

I have had my Merida Dura Carbon 970 (18.5") frame for about 17 years now, I bought it second hand and raced it for 2 years as under 16. Then moved on to a red anodized GT Zasker LE (which was stolen out of the garage, I still have not recovered yet). I handed 970 down to my sister who also raced for a couple of years. It never had a hard life, the lugs were sanded down before I go it.

Here is the problem, the bond in the rear wish bone is gone. Can it be rebonded?

If so I would love to strip it, repaint the lugs black and cut new graphics and lacquer up the carbon.

modern engineering adhesives will bond that without to much bother
its not a frame i've seen before , what year is it ?
familiar with the merida mats stuff , my mate was a rep for them in the early/mid 90's (his contribution to the merida world dominance plan
was the phrase "yer offa yer heeda if ye dont buy a merida " )

re-build it even if its a garage queen , then follow the standard retro bike money loss scheme

I think that is well worth saving, but if you don't want to go down that route, I'd happily give it a go.

I think its about early 90s there was three models 990 xtr, 980 xt and 970 lx. I only remember about four of the of the dura carbons racing, not many carbon bikes back then in Ireland mostly treks.

attached is slighty later 990 with the xtr, mine had xt, lx mix and marz xc 600.

ishaw thanks for the offer, but I think I still owe my Dad money on it. Dads never forget.

Mikee loving the Trek 93 full susser, one of the first bits of bike porn and the grey co-mega dx pure class, the water bottle fit between lower stays and great graphics for the day.

back to the bike, its very hard to get the frame to move, do I need to get it into some kind of gig?
