Given that I can ride rather infrequently due to my health I decided that having a Scott Spark hung the garage on the off-chance of a ride was too much money just 'hanging' there.

I've sold off the Spark and replaced it with the cheaper Yeti ASR-SL. I was looking for a Santa Cruz Superlight with canti bosses, but thought the ASR would do nicely ;)

Purchased unseen as a complete bike off ebay

Plan was to build a lightweight full-susser :) It arrived with a 'solid' build spec, weighing in at about 27lb.

Stripped it down....

....and gave it a good clean and polish :) I'll be selling off all the components ;) .....

Now re-built and weighing in at sub 21lbs :D .....

I may swap the SIDs out for a set of REBA World Cups with 100mm travel, just have to see how it rides. And probably swap the tyres for Bonty Mud X (now the weathers turning!) and go tubeless.

a friend has one of these, but built with a bit more am spec. real nice ride position, feels like your sitting in the bike. you'll enjoy this!

Nice! Are the fox 100mm and the SIDs 80mm? the angles look different? liking the build and kit

Yes the Fox are F100X Terralogic. I believe the bike should be set-up with a 100mm fork, I'll see how the SIDs go then try the Rebas ;)

Cheers

Lovely bike, always a fan of Yetis old or modern

IMO fork is wrong though...the Foxes look much better and TBH I'd even be inclined to run 120mm with bolt through on something full sus.

Very Nice!
Are those little flat bits, at the hub end of the top arm, designed to flex a bit, instead of bushes?
