Raleigh Competition - TI/501SL

just found this thread some years later.
I've just been given 4 bikes. one of which is the exact same model.
Frame number seems to be WN6001146
It has Shimano 600 crankset, Front Mech and Golden Arrow brakes. Modolo Levers.
The odd ball is thaty it has a Campagnolo Rear Mech.
I've just purchased the 600 series to match.
The other bikes are really old, Clive Stuart, Clifton and Claude Butler and are not complete but rolling chassis.
Are these sought after collectibles?

Hi Retro Guru.
I've got some pictures of the older bikes.
But struggling to upload them here!!!!
Any advice?
Not to good on PC tech!

Re:

Thanks buddy but the pics are 250kb
Just can’t seem to put them on the page.
I have loaded pics to other websites but when I choose an image, can’t seem to load it!
I’ll keep trying!
Doh!!!!!!!
Trying to put the pics in the wrong place!

Here is a picture of the Clifton bike which ironically was built very close to where I work in Birkenhead

I've just ordered a Shimano 600 rear mech for the bike.
Who knows why the 9 speed xenon was fitted???

Here is the Clive Stuart.
Really unusual brake levers I've not seen before!
They have weird adjusters protruding from the front of the lever!

Re:

Hello, I think I might have bought this bike, or one which is identical in every respect including paint removed from right fork leg.

Here is the Clive Stuart.

Just caught up with this. The brake levers appear to be Balilla but without the chunky brown rubber hoods they were supplied with. The 'adjusters' (which poked through small holes in the hoods) are actually the brake quick release mechanism which should allow the lever to sprung up slightly so the stirrup widens and allows the wheel to be removed easier.
