This photo was taken recently - he's in his mid 50s now and apart from a bit of grey hair, looks identical to when he was a rider in the 80s and 90s... his native tongue is English . .

I watch an old Tour de France stage recently and Phil Liggett's comment about Mr Anderson as he powered through to take a spell at the front of the breakaway, was priceless . .
