Any details on the Manitou 2/efc frankenfork?

Yeah, sure.

So, basically you need a functional set of EFC inners and drop outs. You have to remove the drops off both forks and swap in the EFC drops onto the M2 legs. You need the drops to accommodate the new internals and the 'rebound' adjustment knob. You must take care to align the drops or else your bike will not track properly, it's a bit of a PITA.

You reuse the M2 seals, I got some new ones.

Also, set the travel on the EFC to M3/M4 not EFC or Comp.

It will jack up the front end and slacken the HT angle a bit, but I feel that the ride is still pretty good. I'm still smarting for a nasty crash at Big Bear so taking it a bit easy and not really pushing it.

No, they are pressed on. You have to knock them out from the inside of the lower legs. I used a long 1/2" extension.
