hollowtech 2 bottom bracket

hi all, i fitted a brand new shimano xt hollowtech 2 bottom bracket to my fire eye build and less than 50 easy miles have been put on it and it has developed play on the drive side! has anyone else experienced this? or have i tightened something up too much? ideas welcome. :?

or not tightened something up enough?
is it the cups that have come loose? or do you think it's a bearing problem?

Hollowtech 2 isn't supposed to have play, especially vertical play.

If anything was loose, you'd notice a gap between the frame and the BB's cup. Even then only play along the length of the axle (left to right and vice versa) would be possible.

You probably didn't push the drive side crank far enough into the BB - they can be stiff when new and a big rubber mallet comes in handy
