Mmmm...bit strange this one. Sold some Avid Juicy Ultimates two months ago. Modern carbon stuff.
The seller contacted me today to say the he has just started to build his bike and has found that one of the threads on the lever main body that clamps them to the bars is stripped. :?
Now I removed these from the bike and I'm pretty sure I would have noticed a stripped thread.
Anyway, moving forward.
I'm thinking a helicoil insert would be the remedy.
Good/bad idea?
Alternatives?
Anyone offer helicoil services in Brighton that you know of?
