So this wandered into the shop today. The chap said it'd been sat in his shed for 10 years so he wanted a service. Got talking to him and he hinted me may be interested in selling it. So looks like it might come back to live with our collection of old SC's.
The Tazmon was released in '94 (I think) and this bike was bought in '97. The chainset, mechs and shifters were changed when he said the original LX ones broke.
