New wheelset reccomendations

Hi Guys,

I have a 2004 Kona Cindercone which i am currently revamping with new bits, so far fitted Shimano Deore M615 Disc Brakes.

I would now like to upgrade my wheelset (currently M475 9spd) so would like some recommendations of some decent budget wheels please :D bike is largely used for commuting and some light offroad.

I'm considering a XT M8000 2x11 drivetrain later so would wheels need to be able to accomodate this (i think what i mean is is an 11speed cassetted compatible with all freehubs ??)

The M8000 11 speed cassette will fit any standard Shimano freehub. I just fitted one to a 2014 mavic crossride and didn't have to remove the cassette spacer. Previously Shimano 9 speed.
 
For wheels, build your own! Much easier than you would think and the only special tool needed is a good spoke key.
