Hi everyone
I have got a question about the M775 brake
My front one seems to have a seized piston .The outer piston moves freely but the inner one moves a tiny and I mean tiny amount out,and i have no idea how to free it up? It's currently hanging off the bike and I have tried to soak it in gt 85 as its all I have got at the moment but its not moving. Any help advice greatly recived.
Cheers
Tony

The offending piston is dry, try taking the pads out and pull the brake lever a bit, push pistons back in with Ring spanner gently, and redo a couple of times

Spraying GT 85 will make it worse, Shimano use mineral oil for their brakes, normally pistons are self lubricated by the brake fluid

I think !!

Hi SiRvinO
thanks for the advice ill give ito a go. id better get the gt85 first. Doh
Bit worried about the offending pistion as it's flush against the caliper bodyand not moving far enough to be pushed back in. Anyhow ill give it a go and let you know how I get on.
cheers Tony
