I am on the lookout for a replacement headset for my Record Sprint, the current one has a plastic cover for it which hides nasty cheap nuts. I have checked the fork and it seems to be 26tpi, odd considering the bb is 24.
It is one of the low end bikes, the sprints were bottom of range and came in 2 or 3 flavours with the record sprint being the best of the range, the bike is all original even down to the cables and brake blocks
There was someone on e bay selling 26tpi headsets a while ago. I had an old raleigh fork with the same problem but in the end decided not to bother so afraid I cant give you a user name .
