Thought you might like to see this,its a union drum brake bought off e- bay the other day,pretty rare,as fitted to the early Klunkers,and jesus its heavy,just under 1.5kgs,with a six speed cassette,how they rode off road with bikes nearing 50lbs is anyones guess,and probably nearing reality for me,as im going to add it to one of my pre war frames.

Thank you for introducing me to Colson bikes, I must confess that I have never heard of them before.
I can understand your interest in the hub brake, however the six speed cassette would seem to indicate
a date of manufacture some 40 years after the frame ? If you had a six speed freewheel you could
revert to single speed which would be more appropriate
