Zaskar 1994 / 1995 Colour Help

I have a 95 ink blue Zaskar and its faded, worn down and pitted from many years of use so it looks lighter than that. You can get the frames cleaned and re-anodized if you care and have the $.

Here is a thread on ink blue Zaskars that might be of some interest

As far as I was aware the ink blue came in 1995, with blue/yellow decals as seen on the ball burnished frames of that year but a revised slightly more purple/ink blue came in late 96/97 with a different style and colour decal. have one of these later ones and it has hardly any fade and kept its colour very well. It’s a totally different colour to my friends 95 ink blue which again has not faded at all.
The pics below shows my ink blue with the later style decal and in the middle an earlier ink blue which is the same in colour as my tech shop Rts. (Far right) This is totally different to my Zaskar in colour.

I still think it’s one colour but different bikes have faded/worn/ had muc off used etc. But I’m no expert as mentioned. Anodised finishes have variance even from new too remember.

Have you ever removed the decals? As usually that’s the only place that’s the original colour.

I’ve had 3 Zaskars in Frost red and all three were different for example.

its probably inportant to remind the OP that whatever the exact colour is...they are anodized, not painted.
So even if you match up the colour and paint it, it will end up very different.
