Aimed at the burgeoning number of people who are buying bikes for the fad / craze that is road cycling, perhaps a double edged sword. Good to see more people out there, slightly worrying that a retailer can sell such a bike for £400. It can't be much good, but for a first timer / returner I suspect they'd think it was a decent ride based on having never ridden properly before or memories of a bike they rode many moons ago. Personally I wouldn't use that even for a work bike, but then again you wouldn't get me in Argos either! Wasn't it Bill Bailey who described the Argos catalogue as the laminated book of dreams

agree with you on the bike, but Argos is generally ok. I'm happy to shop at 'uncool' shops, but I like the fact that there are no salesmen telling me what I want, no-one trying to rip me off depending on how desperate I am, it's a one-stop-shop place and they have no quibble returns.

Bottom line is I hate shopping, groceries, clothing, cars, bikes etc... just detest it ... sommat that has to be done and the less hassle, the better

To be honest, that looks a bit if a bargain - the wheels, stem, seat post saddle, ergos and gears are probably worth the asking price alone. £399....!!!!!

Wheels are worth £100
Dont think i would trust frame at that price. Carbon is coming down in price but the quality of some of it is very poor.

Read on another forum that the frame might be made by Mekk. Some people I know have bought HongFu and have been very pleased .........

Shaun i import carbon frames, samples of some of the cheap ones we have been offered are really bad. there's some really cheap carbon about the difference is like comparing a old gas pipe frame to a well made Reynolds 753
