Are a bunch of useless f***tards.

"Good Morning Yodel, you're through to xxxxx, how can I help?"

"Hi xxxxx, could you tell me what's going on with a consignment which I had collected please?"

"Sure, do you have the consignment number?"

"Yep, it's xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

"OK, there was nothing to collect, so the collection request has been cancelled"

"What? What do you mean nothing to collect? There were 2 boxes, and I handed them to the driver myself - he even gave me a receipt for each box which has the tracking number on it that I've just given you.."

"Are you sure it was the same consignment?"

"Yes, positive. 1 consignment. 2 boxes. Going to the same address"

"Were the boxes going to the same address?"

"Yes, that's what I just said!"

"OK sir, well you have to bear in mind that I only have the information which is on the screen in front of me, which says that the consignment has been cancelled"

"I can appreciate that, but I'm telling you that I gave the boxes to the driver personally. There were DEFINITELY 2 boxes collected. The driver actually came back the day after to collect them again, and I informed him that the consignment had been duplicated, and that there was nothing to collect"

"Did you give 1 box to him on the 13th March and another to him on the 14th March?"

"No, why would I do that when they were both part of the same consignment?"

"It's saying that both consignments have been cancelled"

"So what happens to the boxes that I gave to the driver, will they get delivered or will they just be held somewhere?"

"They'll probably get delivered, but they'll have a different consignment number now, because the original one was cancelled"

"Do you have the new consignment number, so I can track it?"

"No"

"Great, bye!"

A**e Clowns.

didnt you have problems with them a few weeks ago? but said you would still use them?

not sure if that was you or not but it was a definate facepalm moment.

i pay nearly double what they ask to send stuff with city link. at least it gets there on time

Yeah it was me... Famous last words!!

When they ballsed the first consignment up a few weeks ago I put it down to a genuine error, so gave them the benefit of the doubt and kept on using them..

Now they've ballsed up again and I've got 2 more collections booked through them!!

Time to start charging a fiver more for things and booking the collections with TNT I think

A mate of mine had delivery on monday via Yodel which was supposed to be signed for and they put a delivery note through the door and ticked the box that said "left in a safe place" = by which they ment right there on the front door step in full view of the main road and anyone walking by

Personally i've had no problems with Senditnow (famous last words) so will continue using them for now :)

Christmas presents that I bought this year from Amazon were delivered by Yodel.

I say delivered......I mean chucked over an overgrown gate (which obviously hadn't been used for years) and left outside over the weekend in the rain (it was delivered to business premises on a Saturday morning).

My parents have been messed around by them with regards to a pick up recently too.....stuns me how companies can operate like this and survive - all I've heard about them recently is bad.

Yep all I have heared is bad things about yodel. Yet people, despite all the warning still use them

That's because they're no better or worse than other courier companies.

In my previous job I worked with dozens of courier companies and they can all be as bad as each other. The only exception was TNT - they were pretty good but you pay quite a bit extra!

I wasn't prepared to pay the extra money until now... From now on I think it'll be TNT all the way..!

Hermes aint to bad do take a tad longer a day or two than the bigger boys but seem to be a bit more careful with stuff.

From now on, for things which require a courier (frames/bikes/wheels etc) I'm either going to:

- Use TNT (and charge slightly more for everything to cover the extra postage cost)
- Charge slightly less for everything and the buyer can sort the postage out... Obviousy I'd still pack it up as usual.

i had a frame sent to me and it came with Yodel, they left it at an address over the road! the people who live there had not long moved in and apart from saying "hi,how are you?" i did not really know them.
the note the Yokel driver left me said it had gone back to the depot so i rebooked delivery.
luckily the folks over the road are honest and came and knocked on my door when they saw i was at home.
i would not send stuff with the Yokels!
