I'm starting to think that an AF Yo Eddy makes people go a bit bonkers. Maybe it's the nutters bike of choice

My tuppence…

Cost is equal to budget plus luck minus patience.

If you have all the time in the world you can work out how much you can spend select your vintage then wait.

I wanted an early suspension corrected frame so my 94 is perfect but it needed a total re-spray which, with decals, cost more than the frame!

Add to that some 1” SIDs (also AF sprayed) and these figures of £400/£500 don’t come close.

Although I’ll have a shiny paint job and a solid frame underneath.

However if I were to sell it I wouldn’t get back close to what it has cost but when all is said and done that’s not why we do it.
