For Sale Yet another price drop: Marco Rolls Titanio saddle (1993)

A man who knows the value of things unlike some!
I'm sorry you took the necessary price reduction badly. Unfortunately, that's how the market is.

I was (privately) interested. But the repair was putting me off. At some point, if price reductions continued, I may have been tempted. But it would have been for a nice summer bike and that repair, however well it was done would likely have drawn my attention every time I rode the bike. I'd compare it to a classic car with a panel respray. Even if done by a body shop, it's always visible under certain light conditions and anyone looking for A1 has his eyes drawn to it

I can’t say I am overly happy about the price drop but that is not what upset me…it was about a PM dialogue with someone about the saddle….Fortunately, repairs like that don’t bother me especially as I can’t see it when I am cycling! 😂

Hey @pigman you weren’t the only one that was privately interested. I made an offer of £45. Apparently that makes me a time waster amongst other things. I’m happy to out myself here.

The true value of this saddle was somewhere around £40 - £50, as bourne out by the final sale.

I’m glad it sold, not so happy about being lambasted for putting forwards a realistic and genuine offer though.

It was lowball! The matter is closed!

😂 it was £5 less than the final sales price and apparently in line with other offers you received.

I’m sorry you had to drop the price by £40, but that’s a reflection of how out of step the original asking price was.

Maybe do a bit of research on sold prices before you advertise in future. It may help shape your expectations and you won’t be so upset when the offers come in.

You know the price of everything cans the value of nothing! Thank you for your ever so kind advice.. but you know what? Keep it to yourself… It wasn’t your offer that bothered me but the response to my fair counter offer!
