Sorted Xtr outer cable.

Searching for grey Xtr outer cabling,
In the past I’ve used new cabling on my builds plus a few other modern bits like cable hangers, pedals that sort of thing .
However for my current build I’m looking to keep it 90’s era correct.
Any help sourcing genuine 90’s Xtr outer cabling would be greatly appreciated.

Legit curiousity.. what's the difference between XTR cable and non-xtr cable? i recently came across a bike with Shimano outer grey cable - is this the fabled unicorn XTR outer? Is there any difference in the inner sheathing?

I have a stash of grey xtr outer. I've hoarded it for ages, want to hang on to some but could let some go. How can you tell it's the 90s outer over the later?

To be honest I’m not sure what the difference is but….
I believe the newer stuff is thinner with plastic ferrules and mostly sealed lengths
I remember the old cables having the shimano xtr branding which it no longer has as far as I’m aware.
Please correct me if I’m wrong.
