That looks worn anyway, the notches in the race and changes in colour.

The chip at the back is quite common.

Giev it a go, nothing to lose at this point.

The chip in the back was me trying to install and when I realised how tight it was I was like lbs that’s why I wasn’t so concerned it cracked I kinda understood how tricky it was yaknow

A caliper and a small file would have solved alot of problems, but people rather use a hammer.

Hello I have a complete Simano XTR M900 1 inch treaded headset available.

Have owned since new ! was keepimg back in case I rebuilt one of my own 1 inch frames…but also have Chris King so if it helps you with build here you go… - the prices on eBay are crazy high!

As you will see crown race as wear , as you’d expect.

Offered at price, (following forum rules):
