XT SL-M740/739 shifter cable adjuster wanted

Lost a cable adjuster from my XT shifters! Anyone have one or a complete shifter for spares?

I've got a spare left hand sti that should have the right adjusters. I bought it as a spare for £10 as it was missing the gear indicator, but I've never needed it. If you are interested, let me know.

Ian, I may be interested in some of the other bits from that shifter if you are prepared to split

i got some sent as karma, a matching pair from big eck, think they may be from stx or thereabouts at the same time my bike shop gave me some too, yours for a million punds, not really karma of course, might tide you over

gazza, i presume you want the twiddly springy things that screw into the shifter to adjust the tension of the cable. The barrel adjusters? yeah.

I have two matching barrel adjusters that were given to me when i was in a similar predicament, they are from STX shifters, so slightly different from the XT ones, but will work, and they will match as i have two, will send you them for free if you have no luck finding one barrel adjuster to match

Gazza/Charlie, unless you know otherwise I am pretty sure that the STX ones will not fit. This particular model of XT shifter had a very large thread on the barrell adjuster, possibly a different size from any other.

your right you know, its a much bigger something like m8 and with no springy thing inside a plastic thing, so it seems you do need the specific adjuster to M740 then

Luckily at least the M739 and M740 shared the same adjuster and then of course these both came in sti versions too which also used them.
