I've just dismantled a first generation XT rapidfire shifter and I'm struggling trying to get it back together.. does anyone know how to rebuild them? Everytime I think I've cracked it I'm left with 2 little springs and a tiny grub screw. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'll have a look for you.

These the push-push RapidFire or the Push Pull Rapidfire+

Thanks

It's the push push style.. I think it's the first generation mo90 shifter as I have another broken one and it is different and may be mo91

It is the left shifter by the way.

It's when you mentioned the word 'dismantled'...

If only I could turn back time.

Bloody things are a nightmare! Took an XT M737 many years ago, only ever did it once! These days I blow them out with GT85, let it dry out, then grease.

Re:

Found my picture of an m900 apart before I put it back together.
I think I have half a push push.
But I don't remember grub screws.

Any pictures?
Otherwise I'll have to find one and take it apart.

Thank you F.C. but I managed to stumble upon a video on YouTube for DX shifters. The left hand shifter is exactly the same as my XT shifter, perhaps when they upgraded the shifter to m091 the old m090 became DX.
