XT link wire - Where to find one

Hi

I am after a link wire for my front XT M730 cantilever brakes. I have one for the rear which is stamped F on the cable, is this the size I require for the front and does anyone know where I could get one please.

Also could I use a shorter cable, I see plenty of these available on Ebay.

I'm sure i have A73 on front and rear on all of my canti shod bikes, including M730

you do see A73 link wires now and again on ebay for sale.

Take a look at the sheldon brown website it gives you all the available link wire codes and sizes.

found a pair of A73 on ebay for you. they are not original XT link wire, but they will work

but they (a/73) are from the wrong type of brake, they are the M system hangers for superlow profile cantis, I have a load, I bought a 20xish batch some years back.

Even the 732 still need the longer cables.
You can just use a traditional hook/hanger and straddle wire setup and adjust as needed, you don't have to use the fixed style.

Thanks for the replies, found some on Ebay at the correct length - 106mm, different code, original is F, Ebay is C, so I'll give it a go and see what happens.
