Silver period cranks, definitely. Red anodised accents. Lush! That could be my dream build then...

If you don't mind me asking, roughly how much did that set you back?

I might go with Middleburn Cranks instead of M950s, what do you reckon?

As for the price - I paid less than what the seller was asking for it, put it that way ;)

As a long time Middleburn adherent, yes, definitely crying out for RS3's. IMO in my top 3 most nicest cranks! AND you can get the spider anodised red!:D

Pretty much what has been said already.
It's a Raleigh Torus, possibly a crossover one as the late model has the holes in the dropouts and the early one has the cantilever cable mount, also the later one has cable routing on the top of the top tube, early ones were on the side. Fame weight is approx 1600g for Large.
This looks to be a medium.

X-Lite parts where possible,
Middleburn Cranks - RS7
M95x XTR groupset,

The stem should be this one, in whatever colours you decide to go for:

This is my Torus:

I'm not sure. This one has polished forks though and a matt frame... Anyone out there have some matt Trimnel fork legs that they want to swap for some shiny ones?!
Yes, I know it's a longshot!

Trust me, you don't want matt finish Ti fork legs. They look great when new but will soon look scuffed. To keep them looking pristine, you rub baby oil on them !! Once you've used them a bit, the cable rubs polish through the bead blast finish. That looks more unsightly than a few scratches on polished legs.

That frame looks very genuine - still has the Delrin (engineering plastic) seatpost insert. Torus frames from Raleigh always came with an aluminium insert.

It's already got X Lite Ti Bars and an X Lite Ti Seatpost, so they'll be staying :) - I want to fit a PSS1 Saddle to it and I'll see if I can get hold of some X Lite Crank Bolts too. I'll be sticking with the dual-stem setup 8)

The rest of the build will be pretty much what you've said - XTR M95x and either XTR cranks or Middleburns :)

Any idea of a rough weight based on it's current spec and the spec above?

Current spec is XT Vs and Mechs, 1st/2nd Gen Mavic Crossmax, NEW RaceFace Deus XC Cranks & BB..
