WTD: NOS/mint Campag headset, 1" threaded, 90s

Hi everyone,
I''m looking for a smart new headset for the bargain Merckx Ti I picked up a few weeks back - check out this thread if you're not already sick of my gloating!

I want to replace the headset - the one that's one there is way past its best - and have decided to go for a period correct Campag one as opposed to a boutique one like King. I'd consider either the chunky 90's style Record/Chorus type with the 'square' 4-flat lockring, or the later more classic Record style that looked a bit like like an original 80s Super Record but with "Record' in bold graphics. I've seen the later one for sale for about £45 but thought I'd ask here first.

I'll update this thread later with some pics to show what I mean.

Thanks - I saw that one already. It's actually me who asked if it was British or Italian threaded. As you can seee, I asked before checking all the pics as one of them shows the underside of the lockring with 'British' clearly stamped on it! :roll:

He also has a pair of early Dura Ace dustcaps that I want, having missed the set that an RB'er had listed a couple of weeks.

I don't suppose you'd happen to know if he's amenable to agreeing prices before auctions end do you? Not that I condone that sort of behaviour, of course ...

yes i think he is open to offers as i bought an bonded raleigh cx frame and fork off him for 10 pounds ,i have bought allsorts off him so worth a try if you have any probs let me know he's only 1km away from me
