wtd braze on downtube Shimano SiS gear lever spacers

hi guys


trying to source the spacers that go between the downtube and the gear levers on a braze on frame.. not the flat type for over sized tubing... must have the shape of the frame molded into them.

model i have are 600ex but i know 105's would also fit.. slong as they are 6 speed SiS

will try and get a picture sorted if it helps...


can anyone help?

they are certainly not plastic!

But can be difficult to find without buying the shifters as well.

and yeah ive spent the last 4 hrs surfing and calling all over the place for them.. few on ebay but as you said they come with levers which makes the price silly for what i need

As far as I'm aware, all the sis gubbins is inside the lever and this is what determines the number of positions. The spacers are nothing more than that. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong...

Frustratingly, I was in the same predicament not long ago and I did find some online somewhere. I never saved the page and now, like you, I can't find them anywhere.

However, I happen to have a brand-new spare pair that came with some DA 8 speed levers and I'd be happy to put them in the post to you if you want to try them. If they're ok, you can have them. Let me know...
