Saw this in an old MBUK mag

much cheaper with a saw and a couple of lengths of bamboo

Seem to be most popular with tamdemists. SJS cycles do Thorns with them

Wow the Phoenix Ti, a lot of work gone into that.

The advert scan is from 1997, I assumed at that price (200quid 13 years ago!) it would not have taken off, but it seems to have been used by some people.

The Kona was quite new then in that scan, so not as satisfying seeing it in half like that

I'll stick with my Dahon Matrix, its designed to fold, cheaper too :D

Mind you its not retro and it is a Dahon so kudos wise it has none

They're really, really nice. I've often toyed with having a set fitted to a frame to increase touring options.

Should get a folder, really, but.. :?

  Just mad. No way would i do that to any frame. I wonder if the person who owns that Kona has tried to sell it.
