Are you out of pocket?

I'd at least report your concern/issue etc to whoever owns or manages the asset and is responsible for the work(?).

missing 6 weeks of work when you are self employed is serious. Yes, claim.
Document everything, photos, doctor's report etc.

At this time, you don't know how long it is until you are back to work.

No shame there bud !!! Liabilty shouldn't be an issue if they havn't even clearly taped it off !!

I too am off work at mo (self-employed builder). Broken hand with pins going through my finger !! Im having to claim state help for a month or so, just til I get the pins removed !!

Go for it bud. Its what we all pay our taxes for :?

if it is not finished should you have been there in the first place ?

and no , we dont pay taxes for that .

but I still agree you should claim for loss of earnings .

Oh dear !!! Sorry Gordon..

Lets not get all political shall we, I just meant that he has no reason to feel bad if he needs to make a claim !! I presume your not self employed then ? !!

I am not one for the claiming bandwagon usually. But if your self employed and it prevents you from working then you should atleast make a claim equivelent to that of statutory sick pay. (which is what any employee would get for such time off work)

It makes me a little sick inside when you read stories of people taking accidents to be a lottery windfall. In those sort of cases I am of the opinion it was an accident theres no real lasting damage, get up and deal with it. Its like the people who fund caribean holidays off wiplash compensation...somthing is really wrong!
