Purchased this today.Looking for advice on what to upgrade

Why upgrade? Just get out and ride it!

STX is good usable stuff, cranks and rear mech will be a little heavy compared to higher end stuf, more steel than aluminium. Wheels look good, new tyres, saddle is a bit battered.

Take it for a spin, you'll know after that what it'll need.

#Shoot me down, I dislike those Schwalbe tyres with a small amount of passion. Billy Bonkers and similar irk me something rotten. Better than nothing though of course.
I have had one STX rear mech - the pivots were shonky quality. Just a bit naff.
The bike looks ace though, nice score.

Shit why can I never find out like that nice bike mate if it's mostly original parts go that route only thing I would do is try and get bars that are not faded and change tyres and seat apart from that it looks really mint and that's me being picky
