Welcome Jake!

yeah, thats the one i won the medal on and used for the british series in the 90's it was a good bike and one of the first in the uk at the time. had to give it back though as sugar city went under. wonder were tom sillis is these days?

Hi Jake and welcome to the forums, :D

It must have ben incredible to ride at the 1st Worlds and get a bronze medal, especially after doing so well in the UK that year....

What are your fondest memoies of that period?

Rich

hi rich, yes it was a great year for me, having such a good season in the uk and then the bronze in durango.
my greatest moment was the medal and the whole u.s trip. the team also did the new mexico state champs the week before as well which i won in the experts, which i will always remember.
but probably the thing that i will always assosiate with the 90's and the whole durango thing is sugar city cycles and mr. tom sillis. he was like a father/ big brother to me and although we could have parted on better terms i will always be thankful to him for setting me up with so many opportunities back then.
