I use a Park PRS15 stand. Cost me a bit but it does fold up and can be used almost anywhere.

Have used various ones over the years most of them shop quailty park and kestral, both type very good but also expensive at around 300-400 quid. The best ones around at the minute seem to be the Ultimate ones like this:

There are quite a few of these some more expensive but they are well made and fold away well not taking up loads of space.

with brief research I think I'm going to lash on an Ultimate Sport, seems decent enough and a reasonable price. cheers

the "Sport-Mechanic" is the one i went with. it's a quality product for the price and i picked it up locally at MEC in Toronto. only qualm i have with it is you have to "spin" the knob to clamp/unclamp which means you have to struggle to hold the bike up for a little while before you clamp on and can let go.

if it was available, i may have paid a little more and went one model up to the "Pro-Classic" with the sliding "quick" clamp.
