Work or the lack of it......

Well I've been an agency bin man for about 4 months and I'm getting less and less work ( it was 5 days a week , now 2-3 ! ) no this lot don't get paid alot. Other Jobs looking thin to say the least.

Wife got the push from NHS based job at xmas, has become a supply teacher ( was told lots of work, only had 4 days in 2 weeks even though highly praised for her work )

Just feels like everything is winding down, slowing up......

Do you think it's time to stockpile tinned food, find a cave and start a weapons arsenal, ready for when it all goes pop or am I just having a bad day and need cake

Applied to an agency last month - not even got a call back.

Most agencies round here are crap too.........this ones not too bad :? been doing a bit of mechanics in a local shop, but they ain't got enough cash to give me a job yet :?

I had a meeting with an ex-agency manager turned CV consultant. You would be surprised how little time they give to reading a CV, they will glance over it in seconds if you’re lucky and it gets binned if nothing grabs them. I have the booklet that he gave me scanned to PDF, if your interested in it PM me and i'll send it over. It's quite good and helped me out with my CV and certainly noticed more response from employers and agencies.

Nah, we're stuffed we are, you wonder why the US is so vociferous when anyone threatens their second amendment rights, brought about and written into the US constitution in case the authorities overstep the mark.
