Well, very fortunate to have bagged this... am having a chat with Wilsons about the dates and details with a plan for a very gentle restoration, with possibly a lovely campag triple set up
But but but might well go for something contemporary with the f&f, so suggestions welcome for c.1999 wheelset and drive train.

It would be interesting to see it sitting on a pair of wheels, as it looks to have quite relaxed angles, which would dictate the running gear if it were mine.

Had some very helpful feedback from Nigel at Wilsons today. He reckons it's early '80's, refinished by them in early 90's in this colourway. Trying to work out what the tubing is next...

Over BB guides and top tube guides for rear brake is usually early 80's Look like Portacatena dropouts with eye brazed on so likely a Demi-course AKA light tourer. Hence the relaxed angles noted by Neil M. Standard 531 most likely as ST was a bit more hard core tourist.

So, 27mm SR seatpost, so pretty sure to be 531 tubes (says Nigel Wilson.)
Can't say whether the fork blades are likewise, any clues from the shape of the crown? Couple more pics of 'as is'.
Now wondering if, given it's been re-liveried, a proper repaint might be the order of the day to get it back to 1980's, and follow suit for group and wheelset...
