Will I ever finish it? 98 Kilauea Project

Started life with me as a completely standard but tired bike. Stripped down and have given the frame a thorough clean and polish. Frame saver used.
Looking for a modern ish clean build, but this is going to be a slow burner, don't expect updates anytime soon.

So far
Acros headset that I had laying around, superb quality
NOS Cane Creek Direct Curve 5 brakes and levers
NOS Raceface XY0 seat post ...hadn't seen an in-line version before
New Salsa seat clamp, my default choice
Barely used American Classic wheel set... Silly light, not sure if these are staying
Saving up for forks!

...I can't believe how good the paint looks!! apart from the little decal damage it looks brand new!

The paint has faded here and there...looks a bit Klein Jamaican Gold. Bit of chain slap but not much.
Lots of polishing...after a thorough clean. I initially polish with metal polish like autoglym and finish with a wax.

nothing wrong with a bit of fade ... gives the build a flavour of 'authenticity'
