I ride my Fisher Mamba 'cos it's my first mtb for years ,
I ride my Scott 'cos it's the oldest bike I've got ,
I'm about to ride my Fisher Kaitai to feel like a racer again ,
I ride my road bikes to work to save my knobblies

Yep i love the whole sourcing, building and enjoying of bikes
Sometimes i go out on my patio on a sunday morning and get out my bike collection and just look at them with a cup of tea. The missus just looks at me as if im weird. But if you had a picasso painting or any piece of art that you like. All you can do with them is just look at them. Sometimes, its just nice to own nice things that you dont see everyday. Or something you know that nobody else has one the same. Maybe similar, but not the same.
And i also love the challenge of collecting the parts to complete a build.
Riding them when complete is very rewarding.

Because it gets me some ' me time ' using some of the skills I learnt but didn't gave the patience for at 16.
Tinkering is lovely. Riding without a care for an hour is a pleasure.

Cos I enjoy riding the kit I desired BITD.
Cos I get a grin when I go past other riders on modern steeds and get admiring looks
Cos the look on the spotty teenager's face in the LBS is classic when you lean it up against the counter
Cos it gives me my tinkering fix
Cos I get some alone time when I tinker or ride and I find it relieves the stress of everyday life
