Why you should never trust a man under 50 with a beard...

This bearded fool is getting rid of my favourite radio station, Asian Network.

What am I supposed to sing and dance round the kitchen to while making dinner now?

To remind myself of what a tool this man is I am listening to sounds like this all day...

Why? He needs to cut costs to fuel his 400,000 middle management army.

What fills the gap? Local radio.

What fills this gap? Some local radio in the midlands.

Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, and yes I know, some opinions are frankly wrong and you'll always have something that needs to go to make room etc, but I do think it sad they've dumped a stand alone station that appealed to a specific group of people in this country as opposed to many that are pretty similar frankly, and could be merged or dropped with less of an impact.

As I said. Tool. Go and get a job managing the Lintern Travel Tavern instead. It's what suits your look better Thomson.

I took one look at him when he was ushered in as a breath of fresh air and I thought, here we go, bad beard, wanky hat, probably thinks '2 Pints of Lager and Packet of Crisps'** is genius sitcom territory...Trouble's a coming.

**Any sitcom that feels suitably ingrained into popular culture to abbreviate it's own title is just wrong in my opinion.

Still baffled as to why the aforementioned show is still going. As for sitcoms abbreviating their titles, never did (Only) Fools & Horses any harm, but maybe it was the exception rather than the rule.

As for under-50s with beards working at the Beeb being a waste of space, example no.2: the multi-talentless Moyles. Nuff said.

I am good friends with a tv comedy producer and I am often shocked to see what gets commissioned initially and for the crucial second series. He isn't, he's just regularly depressed by it.

Our comedy hasn't got off the ground yet. Probably why we're so bitter.
