why me

I thought window cleaners could wring out the chamios one handed :? is there not a trick spinning it or something :?

If it can happen it will at some time or another.......................

Many many moons ago I worked in a bike shop, I had broken my wrist in a bike related accident  went into work regardless and was just basically bored there was a fixed wheel bike hanging up so span the cranks as fast as I could then as I tried to stop it using the crank, no rear brake  I managed to get my forefinger caught between the chain and the chainring the momentum took my finger half way around the chainring under the chain...... So there was I   having to use my broken hand to roll the cranks backwards to release my finger Do'h

at least now I know Im not the only one. the amount of scars I have related to mechanical repairs is beyond belief. worst one though was just me being stupid..

pedalling rather quickly by hand for some reason or another (got no workstand so chances are was mucking about with gear setup or similar) and whilst not concentrating managed to acquaint the spinning rear wheel with my shin (wearing shorts at the time). safe to say I still have the scar.

oh and dont let me near a cooker either. dont ask me how but I have a very nice burn scar on my left wrist now. it's gotten to the point where if anyone asks I just tell them 'I ran out of room on my legs so had to injure myself somewhere else' . I must be the most accident prone person in history.

Cleaning the grease out of an old hub i ran my finger around the race only to find a nice razor sharp burr on the underside. Grease straight in the wound  OUCH.

This is part and parcel of fettling :|
