It remains an entertaining bike despite being the 'butt' of a few jokes, mostly from MrK.
.....

Oh dear, hope you didn't forget your coat on your way out.

Hows the crack developing by the way?

Crack!? That was just your imagination. The frame is fine, in fact I've just got some flared drops and yellow bar tape for my Sahara. I'm using it to do a few experiments. Just waiting on some brake levers and then I'll get it all switched over from the flat bars.

I doubt it'll save any weight though...

Just be careful, it can go horribly wrong

Well, that's all very interesting. Chaser, you mention "more than 5lbs" but my frame looks like it's near 7lbs! Even my Genesis which is 520 cro-mo and doesn't look like great effort has been made to make it light weighs almost a full kilogram less

Despite it allegedly being nice to ride, I think the combination of the weight and the difficulty I've had finding a fork of the required length might mean this frame is going to get Karma-d...

I remember an episode of "London's Burning" where some jokers poured sand into the frame of a bike belonging to a member of 'red watch'. He couldn't understand why his commute was getting harder each day!
