Why I'm in no mood for cycling

woke up to another 3 inches of snow this morning - not the fun frosty stuff but the 'orrible wet slushy meltsasitfalls stuff with the sound of dripping everywhere.

Bloody awful cold damp rust inducing weather. Long range forecast keeps us with below average temperatures with rain sleet or snow.

If there is a bloom of warm air over Spain and France, it might finally warm up but with a lazy jet-stream rippling away, we're fooked for the time being.

I've got used to it now - I just say what the hell and tog up and get out. It was hard going yesterday though I have to say, melting snow on top of slushy mud :shock:

Here too!
We got 4 inches of white, fluffy stuff during the weekend on top of the 20 we already had. Temp is -25C. No signs of anything (or anybody) rusting...

Thought I was dying this morning.

-13 deg-c and I was hyperventilating on my ride into work. Same way as when you jump into a cold loch or something and can't breathe.

Bike froze, stuck in one gear and brakes ended up freezing onto the rim.

Same again the morn by the look of it.

true, but it does slowly dissolve in salt solution which is all over the roads at this time of year.
