Jeff Ringle named his company after himself. He is American and a good friend of John Parker of Yeti fame.

They would party pretty hearty together at the trade shows, and were nice enough to invite me along for a few...

That it was named after Jeff Ringle is incorrect. It was named after Ringle Wisconsin. Just off Hwy 29, about 15 miles east of Wausau, WI.
