oh no, I just completely bit off more than I could chew.
Been doing lots of road riding, rides up 50-60-70 odd km, rides that years ago I never would have imagined I could do. So this event, I figured, all I wanted to do was make it, 24km and 1000m of climbing...made it to 15km and I was dead (I think AndrewL passed me on a single speed at 10ish km like I was standing still...whicjh I was).
