Which work stand?

I know ultimately you get what you pay for but it isn't something I'll be using everyday. I want something with a clamp as opposed to a hanger but hopefully not too expensive. I did consider just buying a clamp and welding up the frame myself but having checked the Park tools website buying a clamp from them costs more than many complete stands.
What's your experience with the cheaper workstands, are they worth buying?, or do you know where I can obtain just a clamp part, new or otherwise?
Any advice gratefully received.
Cheers, Paul

I'm sorry to say it but those are crap. I've got the table mounted version and I'm not satisfied at all. I'm going for a complete stand the next time.

It doesn't hold the bike very well, feels soft. The degree adjustment is also very bad. Maybe the newer ones are better than mine (it's 3 years old) :?

If it were me (and yes it is - i just need to stop buying bike bits!) i'd be putting my beer money/anodized bolt money towards this.

I've used park stands before and they are stable, easy to adjust and use and moreover durable

Looks like it has been discontinued

bizzare in the search it comes up with:

PCS9 repair stand
Even if i put the link in my browser it works but no when you click the link!

Anyway it's £90 and form park so you know it'll do the job :)

edit removed an erroneous full stop from my first link!

I bought one from bikeplus.co.uk I think it was a veloman, quite cheap but has served me well for two years, built and repaired many a bike on it with no problems.
